Traditional Mallorquin cuisine in one of the island's oldest 'cellers'.
Very well located in the old town centre of Sineu, Celler Can Font is known as one of the oldest cellar restaurants in Mallorca, dating back to the late thirteenth century.
A space that holds over 700 years of history within its solid walls, arches and Gothic portals, still retaining the true character of its time. Its eleven wine barrels, large and centuries old, made with oak and olive wood, surround the dining tables while transmitting a special feeling of warmth and tradition.
The upper area, where formerly the gentry and merchants stayed, was converted into a peaceful and cosy hotel.
In such a rustic and genuine atmosphere, Celler Can Font offers the most typical of Mallorcan cuisine, such as roast suckling pig, Mallorquin soups, snails, shoulder of lamb a range of mixed dishes... and of course one of its most popular proposals "frit Sineu", with its thorough and elaborate preparation.
With over eight decades' experience on its side, this family-owned gourmet restaurant also offers a daily lunch menu.
Hours: 11am to 4pm and 7pm to 11. Only open afternoons on Wednesdays, closed on Thursdays.
